Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using CS2.trading. By using the site, signing in, creating listings, making offers, confirming trades, leaving reviews, or using any future paid feature, you agree to these terms.

Last updated: 30 June 2026

1. Who we are

CS2.trading is a peer-to-peer CS2 skin trading website operated by the operator of this website. References to "CS2.trading", "we", "us", or "our" mean that operator.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not use CS2.trading.

2. Not Valve or Steam

CS2.trading is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Valve Corporation, Steam, Counter-Strike, or Counter-Strike 2. Steam, Valve, Counter-Strike, and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.

When you use Steam, Steam inventory, Steam Trade Offers, or Steam-related services, you remain subject to Valve's rules, including the Steam Subscriber Agreement and any applicable Steam policies such as the Steam Refunds policy.

3. What CS2.trading does and does not do

CS2.trading provides tools for Steam-authenticated users to browse CS2 item listings, create listings from verified inventory assets, make offers, accept or decline offers, coordinate accepted trades, confirm completion, leave reviews, and build site progression such as XP, levels, and badges.

We do not custody skins, hold money for trades, operate escrow, provide middlemen, run trade bots, or execute Steam trades for you. The final item exchange happens through Steam, and you are responsible for checking the official Steam trade window before confirming any trade.

We do not guarantee that another user is honest, that an item still exists, that prices are accurate, that a trade will complete, or that Steam services will be available.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your region and old enough to use Steam and Steam trading features. You are responsible for your Steam account, your CS2.trading session, and any activity made through your account.

Never share your Steam password, Steam Guard codes, recovery codes, personal Steam Web API key, or other sensitive credentials with us or with other users. CS2.trading will not ask for those details.

We may refuse access, restrict an account, suspend features, or remove content if we believe an account is being used to abuse, scam, spam, impersonate, evade restrictions, or harm the service.

5. Listings, offers, and Trade Links

Listings and offers must be accurate, lawful, and made in good faith. You must not post false listings, misrepresent items, create bait-and-switch offers, manipulate prices, or pressure other users into unsafe trades.

You may need to save a Steam Trade Link before creating listings or sending offers. Public listing responses do not expose saved Trade Links. A relevant Trade Link is only shown to the two matched participants after an offer is accepted.

Item names, images, prices, rarity, wear, StatTrak, Souvenir, and similar metadata may come from Steam inventory, catalog, or pricing data sources. This information can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. The final Steam trade window is the source you must verify before accepting.

6. Your conduct

You agree not to:

  • use CS2.trading for scams, fraud, phishing, money laundering, harassment, hate, threats, or illegal activity;
  • impersonate other users, staff, Valve, Steam, or any third party;
  • ask users for Steam passwords, Steam Guard codes, API keys, recovery codes, QR logins, or unsafe screen-sharing flows;
  • circumvent security, access controls, rate limits, bans, cooldowns, or other restrictions;
  • scrape, overload, attack, reverse engineer, or misuse APIs or infrastructure;
  • post false, misleading, abusive, infringing, or unlawful content;
  • manipulate reviews, reputation, XP, levels, badges, listing order, offer status, or matching systems.

We may remove content, close or restrict listings, revoke access, reverse unfair XP, limit features, cooperate with authorities, or take other reasonable action to protect users and the service.

7. User content

You keep ownership of content you submit, such as profile text, listing notes, offer messages, reviews, and similar material. You grant CS2.trading a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, moderate, and process that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate law, third-party rights, these terms, or applicable platform rules.

8. Reviews, XP, levels, and badges

Reviews are intended to reflect completed trades and user conduct. Do not use reviews to harass, threaten, extort, impersonate, or manipulate reputation.

XP, levels, and badges are site progression features, not guarantees of trust, identity, solvency, or trade safety. We may adjust, withhold, reverse, or recalculate progression where needed to fix errors, prevent abuse, enforce rules, or maintain platform integrity.

9. Optional paid features

CS2.trading may offer optional Premium paid features when shown as available in the product. The first Premium version includes a 100% boost on positive XP rewards and an active Premium badge shown on profiles, trades, and offers. Negative XP penalties are not boosted.

New Premium purchases may be enabled, paused, changed, or moved to another payment provider while billing setup is finalized. When a purchase flow is available, prices, billing periods, renewal terms, taxes where applicable, and payment details are shown before purchase by the checkout or payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Existing Stripe-managed Premium subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be managed through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your private profile. If you cancel, Premium normally remains active until the end of the paid billing period. Refunds, disputes, or chargebacks may remove Premium access for the refunded or disputed period.

Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, paid features do not give you ownership of the service and may be changed, renamed, limited, or discontinued. If paid features change, existing active subscriptions will keep access through the paid period or receive another reasonable handling where required by law.

10. Third-party services and availability

CS2.trading depends on third-party services, including Steam login, Steam inventory endpoints, Steam Trade Offers, catalog data, pricing data, hosting, databases, and payment providers where used. Those services may change, fail, rate limit, or become unavailable.

We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal, abuse-prevention, provider changes, or product reasons.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CS2.trading is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, accuracy, availability, and security.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer, privacy, or mandatory law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our operators, affiliates, suppliers, employees, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, accounts, digital items, trade opportunities, or expected value, arising from your use of CS2.trading or any trade.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to CS2.trading is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or EUR 100. This cap does not apply where law does not allow such a cap.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of CS2.trading, your trades, your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of this website is established, without applying conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction's law, except where mandatory consumer or other non-waivable protections in your place of residence require otherwise.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first through the Contact page so we can try to resolve it informally. Where permitted by law, courts or tribunals with jurisdiction under applicable rules may hear disputes that cannot be resolved informally.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting a new version and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of CS2.trading after changes means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page. Formal notices should be sent using the contact information published there, in line with applicable law.
